is a new CD project that
Aliah's began working on
when she moved back to
the San
Francisco Bay Area -
where she lived years ago.

opening for the undeniably cool
Bonnie Hayes at The Stone,
and in the East Bay playing
The Omni & The Starry Plow
all with her band METRO.
Good times... good times...)
For
Aliah the Bay Area homecoming
has been a series of
synchronicities and miracles
and she keeps on writing &
getting into the
jazz funk rock fusion and
electronica soundscapes
for the new CD.
The tilte track is a song she wrote
that she called "Bring It On".
Then politicians started saying it...
and she stopped performing that song at gigs.
One day she thought to sing "In Light Of Now" -
words that came to her in meditation... and it fit perfectly...
and so it is.

new CD - IN LIGHT OF NOW.
Aliah talks about the vision for the CD:
"It's about - the longer now...
when you have to wait for something to happen -
understanding all it takes to do it -
and yet in light of all you have become -
you know you are up for the task.
That that is why you are here... and then ALL
the things that brought you here
that allowed you to be ready for it all now.
Spontaneously flowing towards the same visions
living in a heart for years.
Focusing on what's around you now...
and what your experience & insights can offer...
for what's best for all.
We are asked to smooth from the waters of life,
it is because we are ready to see what that means,
and how blocks can be the polishing tools
and the smoothing forces that bring out the best in us.
These stones beneath the water
are so grounded and as we seek to be chill...
and flow with what happens -
making the best of what ever that is -
we live life fully.
Letting it roll over us like water flows over stones
apreciating it all and being here now.. In Light Of Now."
