THE LONGER STORY OF THE SPIRITUAL NAME CHANGE:

Years later while she was pregnant and studying to become a Tibetan Reiki Master -
she learned the first vowel - AH -
Her Hebrew name...
Aliah Selah
felt a lot better to her than the sharp tight sound of her birth name
Alise Clar.
So she took the name Aliah legally so it would be on her son's birth papers as her name.
in Hebrew, Aliah has a deep meaning... it means going up to God... as one makes an "Alyah"
when they come to read from the Torah.

It was for her music that she added Selah - which is interesting because while in French it means
"as it is" - Selah Vi (As it is in Life).
It has a much deeper meaning.
It is also used at the end of poems in Psalms - as an Amen. Selah!
A Rabbi said it was Awe-men. Later she found from a Biblical Historian
that is was when King David... would strike up the band.
Aliah really liked that and it seemed to make sense because she seeks to play sacred music
mostly likely the kind that has a similar vibe to what was played back then.

While pregnant she also studied Feng Shui for the nesting instinct, and Belly Dancing for the labor along with 3 styles of Reiki up to Master level... she is sure it is to raise up to her son's energetic level. In Tibetan Reiki she realized that her birth name was very tight sonically and yet her hebrew name was all about AH...
which felt like letting go... and relaxing.
Paz her Soulmate/Bandmate/Husband also took his Hebrew name legally too-
when they became parents - a blessed miracle after 10 years of marriage.
There were many miracles that happened during this pregnancy...
yet the most amazing one was how a woman
under Aliah's care as a Wellness Consultant healed of ovarian cancer
in only 3 weeks in Aliah's 4th month of pregnancy -
when she was spiraling - Paz and her took the band name Spiral -
that is now Spiral On.... blessing the sojourn of life...
